You’ve heard of the console wars, and you likely have that favorite gaming system you’ve supported since Day 1, but The Sports Vision puts a twist on the ongoing Console Wars by developing depth charts of your favorite Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, PC/Mobile characters as baseball squads. Many characters are exclusive to one specific console, while others were chosen to represent one of the four teams through a draft. After The Sports Vision publishes each team’s roster, we will use a unique dice system to determine which teams move on to the championship round, as well as determine which platform is ultimately King of the console wars. Although PC/mobile device are not gaming systems, they will be included in this list as one.
Sony
C- Sly Cooper (Sly Cooper) This stealthy raccoon is perhaps the best pitch framer in the game
1B-Sir Daniel (Medieval) Sir Daniel has the best glove on the team, and he is also one of the tallest players.
2B-Lucas Kellen (Killzone) Kellen and Croft form the best 6-4 in the league.
SS-Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) You won’t be able to use the “throws like a girl” stereotype on this tomb raider.
3B-Crash Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot) It was hard for Cortex to call up Crash, but he knew that both he and Uga Buga were ideal for the hot corner.
LF- Jak (Jak & Daxter) A fan favorite, Jak led the league in doubles last season.
CF- Spyro (Spyro The Dragon) Spyro isn’t a great batter, however, it’s pretty difficult to hit a home run when there’s a dragon patrolling center field.
RF-Kratos (God of War) Kratos has an extremely strong arm in right, and is deadly at the plate.
DH-Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) This man may be a psychopath, but this man also hits very long homers.
BN-Ratchet (Ratchet & Clank) Ratchet is Neo Cortex’s favorite switch-hitter, and is a viable option off the bench.
BN-Dante (Devil May Cry) Dante is a Mendoza line kind of hitter, but his veteran presence is valuable.
BN- Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet) Sack Boy has an extremely small strike zone, which makes him a tough out.
SP- Evil Cole Macgrath (Infamous) This hard throwing southpaw led the league in strikeouts last season.
SP- Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) Solid Snake has announced this would be his last season, but he has quite the resume. Solid Snake leads the league in career wins with 356.
SP-James Sunderland (Silent Hill) James does throw a lot of wild pitches due to sometimes seeing Pyramid Head in the stands, but Sunderland also has some very good stuff when he’s not going crazy.
SP-Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy) Anyone who carries around a giant sword all day long must throw with high velocity. Unfortunately, Strife has been told he must have tommy john surgery and will be out this year.
SP-Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil) Just like the zombies and the crazies, Leon is lethal against both lefties and righties.
LR-Gabriel Logan (Syphon Filter) This man is one of the more accurate pitchers in the game.
RP-Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) Ms. Valentine is looking to bounce back this year after suffering multiple DL stints to finish last season off.
SU-Parappa (Parappa The Rapper) He may balk a lot, but his strange delivery confuses batters.
CL-Nathan Drake (Uncharted) When something’s on the line, there’s no man you want on the job more than Drake.
Managers-Dr. Neo Cortex (Crash Bandicoot) / Dr. Cortez (Timesplitters)
DFA: Gex (Gex), Blasto (Blasto), Yaggi (Cool Boarders)
